So I thought I’d share what I’m currently shooting on as my main camera and lenses. I use the olympus micro 4/3 system with the em10 mk1 body I bought new back in 2014. I have gone through a few olympus and Panasonic lenses and even Canon fd lenses while owning this body but have settled on these two. The 12-40mm f2.8 Pro stays on the body at all times as my main lens but I do have the 40-150mm f4 for certain occasions.

Many people shy away from the micro 4/3 system claiming that they can’t compete with full frame or even aps-c cameras however I have not found any issues to date and this camera has been a Learning curve camera for me. As I mentioned before I had about 8 years away from photography and have recently taken it back up again so re-learning techniques and tricks I used to use on my Canon cameras has been a fun experience.

My camera is outdated and I know that but it still produces great shots though a little noisy on the long night time exposures. There are always work arounds though. However would I consider a more modern body when I feel its nedded? Possibly is the only thing I can say right now haha.

For now this camera gets me out and shooting when I can inbetween a busy schedule of running my own buisness and having a young family. So I’ll keep sharing images I take with this system and hopefully one day I may have a new gear day post too.
